Overlooking Loch Riddon on the wild Argyll coast, Loch Riddon Bothy offers stunning, contemporary accommodation in which to escape the hustle and bustle - to press the ‘pause button’ on modern life.
The exterior of the Bothy belies a cosy, rustic interior. Large windows fill the space with light, and the larch-clad terrace looks out over the ever changing loch to the mountains beyond.
The unique bothy is available for bookings throughout the year.
Filled with local creations
The Bothy is small but carefully designed and heated with a cosy wood burning stove ready for you to light on arrival. Inside the bothy is filled with creations by some of the region’s most interesting artisans.
The miniature kitchen is stocked with regional recipe books and is made by hand from upcycled whisky staves.
A green escape.
We have always tried to live with a quiet footprint both at home and in our 2 acre garden. We grow food, we nurture wildlife, we compost, and we plant native species.
In 2024, we were awarded a Green Tourism Bronze award, and since then we have been working hard on the areas highlighted to show our committment to sustainable practices.
So, we are thrilled to have been given a Green Tourism Gold Award. It comes with a detailed report on what we are doing well and offers suggestions for further improvement. We will be working on these areas over the next year.
