Local Wildlife and Photography Opportunity
Red Squirrel
Do you love Scotland’s wildlife? Red squirrels, pine martens or seals and gannets. Do you want to improve your wildlife photography skills? Well, we are offering you the chance to do both in collaboration with our talented neighbour over at Eco Nature holidays in Glendaruel.
Common Seal
Glendaruel is the neighbouring community to Colintraive and often the two communities get together when they are known as Colglen. In the heart of Glendaruel, a few miles from Loch Riddon Bothy, is Eco Nature Holidays owned and run by Peter and Sai Walsh. Peter is an enthusiastic wildlife watcher and accomplished photographer and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others.
Greater Spotted Woodpecker and Reflection
Peter is offering guided wildlife tours combined, if you wish, with opportunities to photograph wildlife. He has a wealth of local knowledge which enables him to suggest locations for the best possible sightings depending on the season, the weather and of course people’s own particular interests. You may see otters, curlew, redshank, oystercatchers, seals, porpoises and gannets.
Pine Marten
He offers either half day or full day outings and, in discussion with you, will prepare an itinerary. He is busy so an email to econatureholidays@gmail.com is a good place to start.
