What does the accommodation consist of?

We’ve built an architecturally designed cabin that accommodates 2 people. The bothy has a private deck area, with views of Loch Riddon and the surrounding landscape.

The interior space is one open plan room with a kitchen area, a sitting area including a table and chairs with a wood burning stove.  There is a separate shower room with shower, loo and basin.

The sleeping area with a double matress is on a mezzanine platform accessed by a ladder.

How much does it cost?

£150 for the first night and £120 for subsequent nights. There will be a price increase in 2024.

What is the cancellation policy?

Any cancellation made by the customer for any reason must be made in writing (by letter or email) directly to Springfield, Colintraive, Argyll, PA22 3AH

30 + days before the stay date - Full Refund

Less than 30 days  before the stay date – If we are unable to fill your dates we charge 50% of the booking.  If we can rebook we give 100% refund.

What are the cooking facilities?

There is a small kitchen area in the Bothy with a fridge, a two ring hotplate, a small oven and a sink.

Is there a microwave?

There is no microwave oven

Can I bring my dog?

Not currently

Where is the Bothy located?

Loch Riddon Bothy is situated in the 2 acre garden of Springfield.  It is accessed by a gravel path about 50 meters from where a car can be parked.

Can we bring our bikes?

We have storage for bikes and a hose for washing them.

Is there heating in the Bothy?

Yes, there is a wood burning stove with a supply of wood included. The fire will be made up, ready to light on the day you arrive.

There is also a heated towel rail in the shower room.

What about food and drink?

We provide the basics included in the price – salt, pepper, olive oil, milk, Tiree Tea (Machair and Breakfast), Argyll Coffee Roasters coffee (Secret Roast) and sugar.

What time is check in and check out?

Check in is from 4:00pm

Check out is by 11:00am

Is internet available?

The bothy has its own Wifi.  Vodafone and O2 have good 4G. The signal for other providers varies.

Can we bring children?

The bothy is only available to people 18 years old and over

How many people does the Bothy sleep?

Two

Do you provide bed linen and towels?

Yes, the double mattress on the mezzanine has 100% linen bedding from the Secret Linen company.  The duvet and pillows are filled with 100% wool from the Woolroom. Two towels and a bathmat are supplied.

What toiletries and detergents are provided?

Loch Riddon Bothy has a septic tank.  We provide Ecover cleaning products. We also provide natural soap and shower gel in the shower room from a local maker.
