Argyll Botany has Moved!

It is a new beginning for Argyll Botany. They have upped sticks and moved from their cosy wee shop at Carry Farm and can now be found in their spanking new building in the Kilfinan Community Forest. Fiona has taken on a croft and is busy planting trees and flowers to benefit the land and also to supply herself with raw ingredients for her fabulous natural products.

Argyll Botany HQ Mk 2

The enticing aromas filter out and greet each customer. On walking in it is indeed a riot of colour and scent - soaps, butters, oils, gels, shampoos, lotions and scrubs as well as natural sponges, cloths, cotton buds and brushes. Oh yes, and wonderful candles too with scents like cinnamon and orange!

When we opened Loch Riddon Bothy back in 2022, we knew we wanted to showcase as many of the local makers as we possibly could. Argyll Botany came high on the list. Each guest gets their own mini soap bar in a little bag which doubles up as a face cloth and we also supply guests with lavender and cedarwood hand and body soap. The great thing about this is that the bottle is refillable so nothing to throw away.

Every Loch Riddon Bothy Guest Gets One!

If you are visiting Loch Riddon Bothy, its a 20 minute car trip over to Tighnabruaich where you will find the all new Argyll Botany HQ. It is so easy to combine that with a walk along one of the trails in the forest, or with a number of other walks such as the one along the shore to Caladh.

A Brightly Coloured Dresser Filled with Goodies

If you can’t visit in person, can I encourage you to sign up to the Argyll Botany Instagram page and also to check out their website? As well as an online shop it tells Fiona’s story - fascinating.
